Do I Need To Take A Daily Multivitamin?

We used to tell patients with a well-balanced diet that they did not need to take a multivitamin.

The answer didn’t used to be yes. We used to tell patients with a well-balanced diet that they did not need to take a multivitamin. However, soil depletion from overfarming, erosion, and inadequate replenishment methods have made today’s foods less nutritious than they were 50 years ago. So even if you eat a balanced diet, you may not get all the nutrients you need.

We are sinus providers. Why do we care if our patients get all the necessary nutrients?

Some sinus problems, such as septal deviations, aren’t going to change no matter what you eat. But many sinus infections and allergies are easier to control if you get enough immune-boosting nutrients. Most good multivitamins provide the necessary immune-boosting nutrients you need.

Tip #1: Don’t buy your vitamins on Amazon.

A recent study showed that 50% or more of a sample of tested vitamins from Amazon had discrepancies between what was in the product and what was on the label.

Tip #2: Don’t be stupid.

I see ads on Twitter and online for multivitamins costing $99.00/month. They justify this by:

  • Adding the most popular/trending vitamins at the time.

  • Trying to convince you that you can’t get clean/pure vitamins unless you pay an outrageous amount.

  • Both of our suggestions below are clean and pure without fillers.

Tip #3: Our multivitamins recommendation

These are the two multivitamins we recommend: Daily MultiTasker and O.N.E.

Tip #3: Our multivitamins recommendation

Daily MultiTasker is from Enjoy Good Health, the brand we developed.

O.N.E. is from Pure Encapsulations (We do not get an affiliate fee for this recommendation).

There are slight differences in the amount of some of the ingredients, as noted in the top yellow section.

The biggest difference is that MultiTasker has Vitamin K2, and O.N.E. does not.

Vitamins K2 and Vitamin D3 work together to promote the absorption of calcium. Vitamin K2 helps ensure calcium is deposited in the bones. Anyone over 40, particularly women, should ensure they take Vitamin K2 to help with bone health.

You should be fine if you have a high-quality multivitamin you like and the ingredients are close to these.
